The Covid-19 pandemic hit the arts hard, and was felt particularly strongly in the circus industry. With many people working as freelancers in our sector, many found themselves with nowhere to turn to for advice or support. Circus Change UP was born out of Circus Snapshot, a consultation exercise assessing the needs or the UK contemporary circus sector, which was completed at beginning of the first lockdown. Its findings informed the next steps, which began to look at the feasibility of a sector support organisation for the UK contemporary circus sector. This information session, led by Kate Webb, will discuss where we are, and what our circus future may look like.
